The farmer's market was hopping last Saturday morning in Strasbourg. It is still too early for any spring vegetables or fruits yet. But there were a lot of potatoes, carrots, leeks, and cheese being sold.

Some musicians were playing jigs at the market. Quite a few people were gathered around, tapping their feet to the music. |

These curly, decorative twigs seem to be all the rage right now. |

I love seeing how people transport their baguettes. |

This cheese really brought the funk. Yes, it is edible.
And yes, my husband and I bought some and ate it.
It was delicious! |

I tried to take a profile picture of this man, but a lady walked into the frame.
Sooooo...... |

..... I took another picture of him.
I think grandfatherly, European men have so much style. |
I love to reading your blog. It's so interesting to me.
ReplyDeleteThat cheese really brought the funk. And you said" Yes, it is edible." I almost can not sure that is true. May be that is blue cheese? :) :)
Thank you for the compliment on my blog.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't blue cheese, although it certainly had some mold on the outside. It had a smooth, semi-hard texture on the inside after we cut the rind off. The inside was a creamy yellow color. It was a little bit sharp tasting like cheddar. It was really good.
Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells! I can't believe the time is coming soon for you to return and I never even got to visit! Can't wait to see you state side, though. And yes... older European men do have some style!!! ;-)
