Spring is Emerging in Strasbourg

Petite white and yellow flowers are daring to push themselves out of the ground.  They are in a garden located at the Musee de l'Oeuvre Notre-Dame.  This museum honors the origins and history of the cathedral in Strasbourg.
The days are getting a bit longer and brighter in Strasbourg.  Thankfully the cold spell that we were having in January and February has loosened its hold.  They are still subtle, but signs of spring are starting to emerge.

This photo was also taken at the Musee de l"Oeuvre Notre-Dame.  There are some white flowers blooming at the base of this sculpture.

People are spending more time outdoors.  A lady, still bundled in her wool coat, scarf, and boots, is reading outside in the Place de la Republique.

The forsythia is beginning to have a yellowish tinge.

Optimistic cafe owners are starting to put seats outside.

  1. I really needed to see this today. I love how the bright colors are beginning to emerge out of the ground, off the vines, and out of the local establishments! Signs of life, rebirth, and chances to renew are everywhere. -JOY-!
